The mystical sound of speakers

From the time in 1877 AD when the speaker was first patented, the technology and the quality of the speakers have undergone world of changes. The first kind of speakers got developed in the 1st decade of 20th century and technology like that of Bose speakers has kept generations after generations electrified.

Speakers can be classified into different categories based on the technology they use and their frequencies. There are speakers that can produce low frequency waves and/or mid range frequency waves and then there are speakers that can produce high frequency waves, better than their peers.

This principle classified the speakers into three categories

· Woofers which can produce low frequency sound waves and are the biggest drivers.

· Midrange which can produce frequency in the mid spectrum range.

· Tweeters which are the small designed units to produce highest frequencies.

As more and more people use their computers for voice communication, the desire and the need for advanced technologies increase with each passing day. In light of such developments researchers the world over are trying to make sophisticated computer speakers.

The idea is to target focused sound to enable a person to walk around the office and still hear. Bose computer speakers uses technology in home entertainment systems that bounces focused sound waves off the walls to create a feel of virtual speakers behind the listener’s head.

The laser jet printers have overwhelmed the market of dot matrix slow speed printers. The dvd players with new dvd releases every now and then have taken over the low quality video recorders.

    I think that bose makes one of the best kind of speakers available in the market right now. I think that the thing they do with the sound waves is amazing, how the make them bounce off the walls to create a feel of virtual speakers behind the listener’s head!
